Diazo Phototool | Process The process is described below, showing the steps when our Diazo Phototool films are used in the printed circuit board – industry:
The master film (silver halide) is copied in an exposure unit onto the Star Coating Diazo duplicating film, which is subsequently used as a phototool for the exposure of dry films and solder masks.
The master film is removed from the exposed phototool.
...which is subsequently developed using ammonia. On the left the latent image can be seen easily and on the right the fully developed phototool appears in its typical amber colour.
An inspection by a specialist is important. He/she verifies whether the entire exposure and development process has been carried out successfully.
A faultless phototool subsequently fulfils its task, namely that of a reliable tool to produce faultless printed circuit boards /
Filigree technology such as that of a printed circuit board requires an accurate tool. The Star Coating diazo film supports the exposure process as a work template for the production of printed circuit boards at the highest level.
